Designing a roller clamp to regulate the amount of water delivered to a Napenthes Ventrata carnivorous plant. A container of water sits 30cm above the plant and drip waters the plant via a flexible tube using gravity. The clamp was split into two pieces (in CAD ) to remove the need for supports when printing otherwise a 6 hr job. Printed PETG on the X2D. The axle part of the wheel did not print properly, its 4mm diameter not adhering to the build plate. Version 2 of the wheel, the axle was replaced with a metal bolt. First test and after 24 hrs delivers 400ml to an empty container on the bench with the wheel at maximum closure. This is too much for the plant so will need to print the wheel with slightly larger diameter.
